Finding time to move those legs is crucial to the blood flow in your body. The more sedentary you are, the more likely you are at getting sick. Walking has so many benefits like maintaining a healthy weight and waistline, it can help prevent heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, cancer and type 2 diabetes. It can improve cardiovascular fitness, it can strengthen your bones and muscles, it can improve your muscle endurance, and improve your overall mood. Start off slowly with 30 minutes 3 days a week. Then slowly increase your time to 45 minutes or an hour 3 days a week. Make your health a priority by getting those shoes on, plug in those ear buds, and walk walk walk. YOU GOT THIS!!!
When I was living in Clearwater for 6 weeks while I was receiving treatments at a local Wellness Center, I began the habit of going to the gym that was provided in the condo complex I was staying at. I began slowly but I never stopped. After a few weeks, I began to see the results in my arms, in my legs, in the way that I felt. I kept reminding myself that this was better than sitting in a chair getting immunotherapy treatments. That's what kept me going. To this day, I still work out 3 days a week. I bought a home gym and free weights so I wouldn't have any excuses! INVEST IN YOUR HEALTH!!!!
I don't practice yoga regularly but I want to. I know it has a lot of health benefits like improving strength, balance and flexibility. It also helps with back pain relief, eases arthritis symptoms, benefits heart health, it relaxes you and helps you sleep better. It can give you more energy and improve your mood. It also helps manage stress - THAT SHOULD BE THE REASON WE ALL START IMPLEMENTING YOGA! ** STRESS TRIGGERS CANCER!!! **
